Fall Reading Program
Mon & Tues 2:30 – 4:30 pm
Volunteers needed to read & listen (2:30-3:30 only for listeners). Call the Keystone Community Center to register: (540) 330-6263. High School volunteers are welcome.
GO TEAMS
GO Teams are “sent out” on Wednesday and Sunday evenings, following up with families or individuals who have visited our church.

Care Portal Ministry
Mission statement
The Care Portal Ministry at First Roanoke seeks to assist at risk families in the Roanoke valley with the desire to lead them to Christ and connect them to a local church.
Since our church has been involved in Care Portal, we have served over 140 at risk families and have had the opportunity to witness and pray with each family.

We help deliver and meet needs that comes in through the Care Portal database, which is a database that families and caseworker can go through to submit actual needs.
1 John 3: 17-18: “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”
DISASTER RELIEF TRAINING
The SBC of Virginia offers training to equip members of SBC of Virginia churches to respond during times of disaster. Each training offers necessary instruction for volunteers to respond with other Southern Baptists around the world during times of disaster and crisis. The training is practical and allows those, 18 years old and above, to serve with confidence.
You are now required to complete a portion of the DR training online! “Introduction to Disaster Relief” needs to be completed prior to attending the in-class portion of the training.
