Private Lessons
Private Instrument Instruction
First Baptist Academy of Music currently offers quality music instruction for all ages in: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin/Viola, Cello, Harp, Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet/Trombone, Tuned Percussion, and Music Theory/Composition.
Private and small group instruction is available for most instrument choices.
Instructors
All our instructors are qualified music educators and followers of Christ who desire to share their musical talents and abilities with others, seeking to develop a growing sense of excellence of musicianship within each student and to provide a means for each student to use their God-given talents to worship the Lord through music. Our instructors work diligently to provide each student with the one-on-one attention needed to be successful with their preferred instrument at a pace that fits the needs of each individual student and their desire to learn.
Studio Schedule, Policies, & Registration
Private studio instruction is available throughout the school year and during the summer. The Academy calendar begins with the fall session in September and continues with a spring and optional summer session. Lesson dates and times are determined by individual instructors.
Fall 2026
Early Bird Start: Week of August 24
Studio’s Open: August 31
Closed for Thanksgiving: Week of November 23
Lessons resume: November 30
Closed for Christmas: Weeks of December 21 and December 28
Makeup 1: Week of January 4 (can be used as early-bird spring)
Christmas Recital: Sunday, December 13 (tentative)
Spring 2027
Early Bird Start: Week of January 4
Session Begins: January 11
Closed for Easter: March 22-29 (includes Easter Monday)
Lessons Resume: March 30
Session ends: May 13
Makeup 2: Week of May 17 Closed for Summer Reset: May 24-31 (includes Memorial Day)
Spring Recital: Sunday, May 16 (tentative)
Summer 2027

Lesson Fees
Lesson fees vary by length of lesson. Payments can be made on a monthly, semi-annual, or annual basis.
