| Jesus said...
"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:37-40)
Jesus did four things...
• He drew people to Himself. (John 1:39)
• He ministered to the people He drew. (Galatians 6:2)
• He helped them grow spiritually. (Matthew 5:1)
• He sent them to minister in His name. (Luke 10:1)
L Is Learning...
• At First Baptist Church, we are committed to teaching the truth of scripture in a way that will transform lives.
"And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ." (Colossians 1:28)
I Is Involving...
• At First Baptist Church, we encourage our memberst to serve one another and the world around us, through ministry involvement.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life in ransom for many." (Mark 10:45)
F Is Fellowshipping...
• At First Baptist Church, our groups create opportunities of fellowship that allow social interaction and encouragement.
• Fellowship events are arranged around activities and interests of the classes, based on ages and stages of life.
"That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Chirst. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. " (1 John 1:3-4)
E Is Evangelizing...
• At First Baptist Church, L.I.F.E. Groups are organized strategically to allow members to introduce their friends to Christ.
• L.I.F.E. Groups are the hub of our church's monthly Outreach Ministry.
"And Jesus said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.' " (Mark 1:17)
God Wants Us to Love Others. We Do That through L.I.F.E. Groups.
Learning, Involving, Fellowshipping, & Evangelizing...
We believe these opportunities best take place with a group of friends. L.I.F.E. Groups exist to connect people to Christ through purposeful interaction with each other and involvement in ministry. L.I.F.E. Groups meet Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
In L.I.F.E. Groups we endeavor to...
"Learn" to be more like Christ
"Involve" ourselves in ministry
"Fellowship" in meaningful relationships with others
"Evangelize" those who don't know Christ
