The Children’s Ministry
exists to present to every child the opportunity to express:

their Love for God,
their Love for Each Other,
their Love for the Lost,
their Love to be together,
and their Love to Learn.

We strive to accomplish this through Bible Stories, Bible Songs, and personal attention
of teachers and opportunities for service.

Our Ministries:

Children's Worship

Sundays at 10:30 a.m. for
Kindergarten through 5th Graders
in The Treehouse

Preschool Worship for 4-year olds through Pre-K at 10:30 a.m. in E-108.

Children's Worship and Preschool Worship provide children with age-appropriate music, Bible lessons, mission stories, and service that they may come to know Christ as Lord and Savior and experience God's presence at their level of spiritual maturity. Children learn to lead in prayer, help with the offering collection, and share their musical talents both vocally and instrumentally.

The purpose of AWANA is to help children and their families to understand God's plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. Clubbers learn to compete physically and mentally as individuals and as a team with proper attitudes of fair play and sportsmanship. AWANA Clubs for Ages 3 through Grade 6 meet on Wednesdays, 6:00-7:50 p.m., from September through May.

Activities include Mission Education, Handbook and Scripture Memorization, Council Time, and Game Time.

Children's Choirs

Our Children's Choirs are a graded music program for children ages 4 - 5th grade. The groups meet each Sunday, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., from September through May and enjoy learning about God through the means of music. The children learn to worship God through music and to serve Him by singing in worship services, as well as presenting His word in musicals. During Children's Choir the children not only develop musical appreciation, but also form new friendships, learn spiritual concepts, and most importantly, learn the value of singing praises to the Lord!

It is never too late to get involved in a Children's Choir. Come join the fun!

Child Development Center

For over 25 years First Baptist Weekday Ministries has served families through developmental preschool and school-age programs. The mission of the Weekday ministries is to minister to the intellectual, spiritual, social, physical, and emotional needs of each child in a Christian environment. Programs offered include preschool childcare for ages 2-1/2 through 5, kindergarten, three-day part-day preschool, after-school care for grades K-5 and full day school age summer care.
