Discipleship Ministry
The Discipleship Ministry at First Baptist is responsible for helping facilitate church growth. This is accomplished, first and foremost, by leading the church family to consistently reach men and women for Christ. Furthermore, the ministry seeks to acclimate new Christians in their walk with the Lord, to inform prospective members about the church's ministry and to assist new members in finding their place in the life of the church. Ongoing discipleship training is also offered to strengthen a believer's relationship with Christ and to expand the church's leadership base.
Our Discipleship Ministry offers these courses to help strengthen your relationship with Christ and His church.
How to Manage Your Money (formerly StewardsLife) is a 12-week course based on the Christian Financial Concepts series developed by Larry Burkett. "Because money is such a priority in our lives, it is important for Christians to know what God has to say about how we are to use it." Through instruction by experienced teachers, group discussion, and personal study, you learn God's principles for handling money. Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God is a 13-week study designed to help you know when God is speaking to you and how you can get in on what He is doing. Woman to Woman Bible Study is a weekly opportunity for our women, their neighbors and friends, to study the Word of God. The focus will be on living out the Word in their lives. Child care will be provided for these sessions. The NET - Evangelism for the 21st Century is designed to train believers to effectively do evangelism in our changing culture. Men's Fraternity - A time around God's Word and small group sharing.
