Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect?

If you are visiting us for the first time, stop by our Welcome Desk, located at the main entrance. Below you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions to help you feel more comfortable as you come to our church, get your children settled in KidTown, and experience a dynamic time of worship. You’ll enjoy messages from our Pastor in a welcoming and friendly environment.

What about my children?

On Sunday mornings, KidTown provides programs for children birth-5th grade. Each child has a class where they are learning more about God’s Word. We offer a safe environment and secure facility.

For students from sixth grade to high school seniors, we offer FirstStudents Connect Groups at Straight Street. Drop by a Welcome Desk to get your student connected on Sunday mornings.

How do I connect?

We offer a variety of small groups, called Connect Groups, that meet for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship. To find a group that’s right for you, click here.

What do I wear?

At First Roanoke, we encourage you to come as you are. God sees our heart and that’s what He cares about; it’s not about the style of clothing we choose. Most people you’ll see attend wearing business-casual attire. Don’t be surprised if you see a few suits and ties, as well as people wearing jeans.
