How I came to know the Lord
I came to know Christ at the age of ten. I had a godly grandmother who prayed for my salvation daily and a godly mother who took me to church. I had a Christ-exalting Sunday School teacher who weekly told his boys class how to know Christ. The combination of the three placed me in a position to hear the sweet conviction of the Spirit of God, and I developed a strong desire to know him. After talking with my teacher, parents and pastor, I trusted Christ as my Savior and Lord. My relationship to Christ continues to be an ongoing, learning, and growing daily experience that continues to bring blessings every day.

How I got here
I served as Pastor of churches in Alabama and Mississippi and on staff at First Baptist Church Van Buren, AR, in a similar capacity to my responsibilities here. I served FBC Van Buren for a period of seven and a half years, and came to FBC Roanoke from a church in Huntsville, AL, where I served as Pastor for just over four years.

Ministry Area Dream
I enjoy mentoring men in the area of leadership, and would love to raise that to a new level by writing a book on the subject to companion the existing curriculum for that program. I also want to make a difference in the lives of families who have members struggling with some form of addictions.
